Welcome to Cake Creations by Tanya

We are in the process of getting this blog spot set up and hopefully will have it fully up and running with in the next few weeks. It is my desire to post informational videos and detailed instructions onto this blog.

For those who do not know me, I love to decorate cakes and to share my love of the sugarcraft art with others. I am a past Wilton Method Instructor and currently am traveling teaching my style and Wilton's style of cake decorating. I love creating in sugar and my favorite medium is gumpaste. I love making gumpaste flowers and hope to publish a book or two on the subject in the future. I have been decorating cakes since 1995 when I took my first Wilton course in Parkersburg, WV. I have been going like mad every since. The last course I completed was in July 2008 in Oklahoma City at Ruth's Sweete Justice. The class was on gumpaste flowers and foliage and was taught by a wonderful and gifted instructor named Elenor Rielander from South Africa. I will be posting some pictures of the many flowers we made soon. Just as a sample of what we created were: Amaryllis, flame lily, monstera deliciosa (I love that name), nasturtium, Queen of Denmark rose just to name a few.

Please check back soon for new updates.
